Anya Making Bread

x800_1330

I'm starting a small quilt of my great granddaughter, Anya.  She's helping Momma make bread.

My first element is the bowl (strainer).  I noticed that the holes form a design and decided to use that as my design for the pattern pieces.

When the quilt is finished the pink of her pants and the darker pink of her shirt will show through the holes in the bowl.
