This little quilt was inspired by a visit to Glacier National Park. What a lovely place.
Techniques: Paint on cotton fabric, applique trees, thread painted and then heavily quilted.

Techniques: A collage of commercial prints. The foreground is mosaic picture pieced, then fussy cut ferns and trees cover a printed background. It is heavily quilted with Superior threads. The edge is bound with a commercial print.

I know I probably do too many redwood scenes…I can’t help myself. This is a small one, but I think it’s lovely.
Techniques: Mosaic pieced with many different prints; some thread embroidery for boughs and a touch of poison oak. Machine quilted.

This was an idea I decided to try. It consists of 5 panels that are held together with some glitzy tulle and organza.
Each tree section is a combination of a collection of printed Christmas fabrics and the blue background is woven 1″ strips.
Names and phrases about Jesus are written here and there in the blue background.
Techniques: Collage, weaving, cotton batting. Heavily quilted.

This scene was found on a walk near Trinidad,CA. I love that the redwoods grow right down to the beach’s edge in some places.
Techniques: Painted on a whole piece of cotton fabric; design enhanced by stitching, piping and binding finish the edge Machine quilted.
