Next, I add shadowing with paint on wet fabric, it spreads and fills in the area nicely.

When dry, background and outlining is done with dark colors. I try to add a little color to see what will happen and it starts to come to life.

finally you can see things really taking shape. Then I add lots of thread and quilt the whole thing. It's finally done!

A finished quilt is always a happy occasion. I thought I'd share the process with you.

It will take a couple of posts to get the stages in. This is a photo I took of my Granddaughter, as she comforted her little guy.
