This quilt was inspired by a photo shared with me by a friend.  It's of her daughter and granddaughter.  The beauty of mom and baby was a joy to paint.

Techniques: Painted whole cloth and heavily quilted.

Life Love – (5) finishing

  Now we fill in the background-- It looks black in the photo, but actually there are very dark shades of blue and red added to the black. then of course the quilting adds alot.  Especially to the hair. Hope you enjoyed the process.

  Then I start on Mom's face...looks like I dried it and added a little detail before I took the picture. Beginning to make a little more sense.

(2) the painting begins

    The next step will just start on the shading, no details yet. the baby first (of course)...shading only. Note that the guidelines you see are not on the fabric, you're seeing them through the fabric on the map below. I use Deco Art Paints...
