Winter in the Park

This small quilt is called Winter in the Park

It is 16″ wide and 40″ long

Special feature is machine embroidery for some of the boughs.

The background is mosaic picture pieced with commercial printed fabrics for the

long strips of trees.  Machine quilted.

All wall quilts have a fabric “sleeve” attached to the top back for ease of hanging.

Glimpse into the Forest

Glimpse into the Forest

33″wide x 70″ tall

Another mosaic pieced and collaged forest scene,  I love making these quilts.  This one was inspired by a photo in the Garberville area of Ca.

It was recently juried into The International Quilt Festival Show in Houston, Tx. starting Oct. 9, 2025. It was awarded First Place in the Naturescape category.

I’ll consider it for sale after it returns home in November.

Rugged Coast

Rocky Coast 32″ x 41″

This is inspired by our beautiful Northern Pacific Coast of California.

I love driving by and enjoying the beauty of creation.

This piece is painted on white cotton.  I added some embroidery and then quilted the piece using many colored threads.  It’s enjoyable to do an art piece like this.

All wall hangings have a sleeve sewn to the top back for ease of hanging.

Walk in the Light

A visit to Patrick’s Point park in Northern California is the inspiration for this quilt piece. We enjoyed the view of the Ocean’s stunning waves –then turned around to head back to the parking lot.  This was the view – a canopy tunnel  lit with the afternoon sun.  I loved it.  This is the result.

All wall hangings have a “sleeve” sewn to the top back for ease of hanging.

“If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another; and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin”.  1 John 1:7

Do you See What I See?

A simple design, inspired by a fabric.  The border says Do you see what I see.

I love that Carol and decided to feature the prophetic nature of His coming.

Little Red Schoolhouse

Little Red Schoolhouse  36″ x 35″

This quilt was made with a favorite place in mind.  We drive by this location often, when headed north.

If you’re lucky when you drive by you may see the whole yard covered with elk.  I decided to just use two to show in the quilt.  It is made with piecing of the building and mostly collage of many printed cottons for the rest of the piece.

Connie’s Pink Hydrangea

This Pink Hydrangea  (47″ x 41″) was a really fun project.

It is a painted image on whole cloth white cotton. Quilted heavily and then bound with an extra tiny piping in the binding seam.

All wall hangings have a 4″ sleeve sewn to the top back of the quilt for easy hanging.

Island Sunrise

Island Sunrise  17″ x 20″ wide

This island scene was made as a project for my book: “Fabric + Paint+ Thread = Fabulous”

The background is painted and the tree tops are constructed of thread.

All wall quilts have a sleeve attached to the top back.  This is used to insert a slat, dowel, or curtain rod for ease of hanging.

He Leadeth Me

He Leadeth Me

8″ wide x 19″ tall

This little scene was a cropped version of a large view of Stone Lagoon.  That Big picture was called “Beside the Still Waters”.  I used this smaller quilt as a project in my book: “Mosaic Landscape Quilts”, available on my website, or Amazon.

This tiny quilt was Mosaic pieced, with applique trees and machine quilted.  There is a nylon overlay.

All wall quilts have a sleeve attached to the top back.  This is used to insert a slat, dowel, or curtain rod for ease of hanging.

Foothills

Foothills

16″ x 20″

This little scene on Hwy 36 inspired me to paint this piece.

The center section is painted on cotton fabric and then quilted through and a small binding attached to the edge.  Then the outside area is a wrapped canvas of 16″ x 20″ which is painted to look like an extension of the picture.  The little quilt is stitched and glued to the larger canvas.

The quilt hangs like any picture with a wire.
