Near Prairie Creek Park we encountered this fellow and a friend.  It was so awesome to get close enough to get good pictures, we considered it a privilege.

Techniques: Elk is painted on ultra-suede and then appliquéd, background is batik fabrics pieced in a freeform way. Heavily quilted.
